Bob,
Thanks for your reply concerning the Nankeen. I have tied this pattern in size 1.5 & 2.0 complete with McCaw horns. Are there any other sizes I should consider for the current Chinook Salmon season here in the US?
Absoluetly no idea Clark . This isn`t that sort of site. Perhaps one of your local forums can help you

Hi Bob,
I'm looking for the Pattern, from GM Kelson's Salmon Fly Plate 6, for the Nankeen. Looked and searched awhile and did find a pattern, and it neglected or missed the presence of McCaw horns on this fly. Can you confirm McCaw horns with this fly? If there is a document with the correct pattern, could you provide an electronic copy?
Sincerely,
Clark

It's Jim from Wales , hope you are ok , you're a national treasure now you know !
Still are in awe of your flies , don't ever let age catch up with you , you're far to important for that .....
I wonder if you could help me One More Time , I promise I'll never hassle you again .
I have registered with a new forum which badly needs someone like you to give it a boost , you don't haveto be online all the time just pop in now and again and post some of your flies and maybe respond to some questions , some step by steps for beginners would be a godsend ......you would really give the Forum some credability.....

My father was Delmar Christian Frandsen of Pocatello, Id. I was raised watching him tie flies....in a room with hundreds of boxes of exotic feathers...his skill was amazing....they were sold in Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, etc., when I was a child....growing up in Santa Cruz, CA. I fly fish so it was a shock to find your web site. Perhaps we are distant family??? Regardless, your products are amazing...I'll be telling my brother Bill Frandsen about you.....he fly fishes too! It is an important part of our heritage...thank you!

Hello ladies and gents I have more of a question than a comment. I fish the classic spey style along with Dees as well and was wondering if any others had issues with the way your speys swim? On a standard up eye hook certain knots can be used to prevent it but on the blind eye I find my speys are not swimming correctly. Usually riding on its side or even upside down. I use 20 or 30lb dacron in place of silk gut and thought maybe that might be an issue, I probably spend too much time thinking about this but I feel a beautiful fly should swim as pretty as it looks.
Yours
Bill

Thank's Uncle Bob, what is the best time of year for Flathead? The fishing gets really busy here in Summer & gets quiet around Febuary to March. I have been fishing with soft plastics & keen to try them on some big Flatties & Bream. Is the best time for Bream fishing in Winter? Cheers, Geoff
